A member asked:

Does fish oil that is meg-3, purified to remove mercury and usp verified, contain purines? the fish oil is made from anchovies, sardines, and mackerel

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No: Purines are one of the building blocks of nucleic acids (think: genes). Ground up fish will contain purines but purified fish oil contains...fats. No purines.
