A member asked:

67 days since last menstrual cycle; the cycle before was 42 days. am i not ovulating? what could cause the irregular/long cycles? recommended tests?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

All about the egg: Ovulation drives your period. If you don't ovulate, or you ovulate later than usual, your period will come later. This can be the way you are, or it can be affected by age, activity, weight, meds, or hormone issues. Get your thyroid checked, prolactin level, and FSH. If you have acne or facial hair, might want to check two male hormones, testosterone and DHEA - S. Good luck!
