Braxton -Hicks: These are usually painless contractions, so unless you are having frank labor pain, crmping, bloody showm water breaking or frank heavy bleeding, go about your life; however, when in doubt- go to the hospital and get checked.

Time to stop: Braxton Hicks contractions usually go away with rest. I wouldn't costure driving as rest. Contact your obstetrician for management of the Braxton-Hicks contractions and recommendations for pre-labor care.
