Foot Pain: There are several factors that can cause pain in the foot. The most common is trauma. Other causes include inflammation of soft tissue in the area such as tendinitis, or bursitis. These are usually caused by repetitive trauma, over doing a specific activity that you normally do or Starting a new activity. Try icing it 3 times a day and stop physical activity. If no response see a Podiatrist.
