Linzess: Linzess is undergoing clinical trials for treating abdominal pain in patients with irritable bowel syndrome accompanied by constipation. The side effects now reported include diarrhea, gas, minor abdominal discomfort; but in the trials, placebo side effects were virtually similar. It seems that a bit of stomach ache might be expected. Be sure your GERD is well managed. Eat carefully, slowly, small

Linzess: Abdominal pain is listed as the second most common side effect after diarrhea. In my experience most side effects usually ease up after taking a new medication after several days to 2 weeks. I would stick with it for now. However, discuss this and any new symptoms with your doctor
