Not normal: This persistent abdominal discomfort should be evaluated by your Physician especially if there is associated tenderness,nausea or bowel symptoms. Possibilities include gastritis,peptic ulcer,gall bladder disease,or even pancreatitis. Simple indigestion doesn't seem likely.

Gastritis?: There is no normal pain. Pain is a signal that goes to the brain when nerve endings somewhere in your body are irritated by some form of injury like when there is local infection/inflammation. Inflammation of the stomach or gastritis can be transient if mild or caused by a transient irritant like spicy food or alcohol etc
