No ct scan: You don't need a ct scan. In fact, LPR can be difficult to diagnose, a d even when it is accurately diagnosed, very few go on to have permanent lung damage. If you do actually have LPR, and meds don't help, consider a Stretta procedure or surgical fundoplication by an experienced laparoscopic surgeon. Hope this helps!

Treat LPR: If you have ruled out any cardiac and anxiety issue, you will need to get the LPR treated. If treatment failed, you may consider the Linx device. A Cochrane review had noted that treating reflux reduced the symptoms of asthma but did not improve lung function (if you have asthma). Vocal cord dysfunction may be triggered by LPR. Consult GI doctor for the LPR and ENT for vocal cord evaluation.
