Have a colonoscopy : Patient with diabetes will have digestive motility problem as the high sugar affect the nerves in hands and feets and make patient feels numb it does effect the nerve ending in the colon and stomach and small bowels so basically it's normal you can avoid a lot of problem by eating more fibers eating multiple small meals and exercise by simple walking make sure you stay hydrated good luck

If no colonoscopy done at 50years for screening, time to do one or new antigen test to rule out colon cancer. Sit in bath of warm water to soak which encourages blood flow and healing.

In addition, pl add lots of fiber in diet, increase water, fluids (non sugar) to diet and exercise regularly. If bleeding persists per rectum, get yourself checked. And keep your diabetes in check!
