An emergency!: When lower abdomen hurts when you breathe in, it is likely that you are developing peritonitis in that area. This can be cause by an appendix about to burst, or by an enlarging cyst on your right ovary. The former is an emergency, the latter can be serious, or just caused by an egg popping out of your ovary halfway between periods. Only medical evaluation can help tell the difference! Good luck!
