Many: Not all leukemia is "terminal", meaning some leukemias are cured. People with leukemia need chemotherapy and sometimes a bone marrow transplant. If the leukemia comes back over and over despite treatment, then it's more likely to be terminal. When leukemia grows, it causes bleeding, bruising, infections, fevers, weight loss, and fatigue.
