Maybe, maybe not...: If they belong to same practice, which would allow the new doc to see your records and curbside your old doc, probably...although there's an outside chance the two have different pain management policies. If you are going to a whole new practice, the new doc has a couple of options: go out on a limb and just do the refills, or give you a tiny supply until you establish a doc-patient relationship.
