See your doc: very heavy periods are not common in young women but may be a sign of skipped ovulation, built up uterus lining and not enough estrogen to maintain it. get an ultrasound and a preg test. the doc may put you on hormones to stop the bleeding or another new med that slows bleeding called tranexamic a.
