This morning while my 16 yr old daughter was getting ready 4 school she fainted. she has a cough, can that be related?

Yes: If happened in the middle of a coughing attack or right after that is possible or if she is dehydrated from her cough/illness that could cause it as well. I would have her checked by an MD though as even if related to the cough, that is a bad enough cough that it warrants an evaluation.
