See your neurologist: See your neurologist to monitor your response to the carbamazepine (Tegretol). Certain bloodwork also needs to be checked for known side effects. If your symptoms are not controlled on the current dose, your neurologist may suggest to increase the dose. TN: Take your medicine as directed. Eat healthy, including fruits and vegetables. Keep you suger and blood pressure in control. Sleep 6-8 hours daily.
