None, except...: If you stop spironolactone, a potassium-sparing diuretic, then you're off it and thus no side effects from the medication. However, the original purpose for which you were taking the spironolactone may then return i.e. you may build up fluid if you were taking it to diurese, or your blood pressure may increase if you were taking it as an antihypertensive.
