Unlikely: Sometimes people will vomit with a chest infection but vomiting blood implies a problem with your stomach or esophagus. It may be from medication or you may have a separate illness. Be sure to tell your doctor and review your medication and your care.

Yes- go see a doc: If the pneumonia is bad enough, several scenarios may cause one to vomit blood. Two examples: 1) Pneumonia is at the bottom of your right lung area, causing inflammation that can affect the diaphragm and the underlying stomach. 2) The Pneumonia is eroding into a blood vessel, causing a slow bleed that you swallow, resulting in a subsequent, violent and bloody vomiting episode.

Pneumonia: Hi, if the patient is coughing forcefully that could cause a tear in the Esophagus inner layer and therefore bleeding, but at the same token vomiting forcefully could do the same.
