Infx vs allergy: Symptoms of allergy vs. infection can overlap and distinction can be difficult. Allergy symptoms will usually readily improve with Benedryl, Zyrtec, Claritin or nasal sprays, but will often relapse when the medication has worn off. Infections are generally associated with more fatigue, achiness, fever and colored nasal discharge of sputum from cough.
