Diuretics: Both furosemide (F) and torsemide (T) are loop diuretics and should promote excess fluid to be urinated out of your body. Speak to your physician as to the dose of T to take to replace the F you ran out of. Good luck.

Diuretic: Both are potent diuretics; the mg potency is different between the two, though; and torsemide has a longer action than furosemide; furosemide 40 mg = torsemide 20 mg --- so if you do substitute, take torsemide at half the mg of the furosemide you were taking -- and call your doctor tomorrow.
