Great Question: It should not cause chipping of your teeth. Regarding their position, ask the orthodontist who placed them.

Should not: Qualified Orthodontic Specialists will vary appliance placement depending on each patient's individual needs. Teeth should not come into contact with ceramic braces, but there is less risk of biting-edge wear with metal braces. Ask your Orthodontist to discuss your concerns.
