Not normal.: This is very worrisome to me. Likely, you have a thyroid problem that is not been completely corrected. Please see your doctor to get the proper testing done.

Hyperthy & nodule: Hi. No, it is not "normal" to be hyperthyroid and have a nodule. If you've had it for 5 years, is someone treating it? Is the cause of the hyperthyroidism known (i.e., Graves' vs. toxic adenoma/s)? If it's Graves', the nodule needs a needle biopsy to see if it's cancer. If it's a toxic adenoma, a thyroid scan will tell if the nodule is the cause of the hyperthy (those nodules aren't cancerous).

Thyroid and nodules: It is not uncommon to find a small nodule in the setting of hyperthyroidism. Depending on your treatment plan and how well you respond, a number of symptoms could occur, including those you described.
