Neuralgia: Sharp, stabbing, fleeting pains like that sound like neuralgia which is due to irritability or inflammation of superficial nerves in the scalp. This is not a serious problem and usually eventually clears without any specific treatment. See your Physician if symptoms persist or worsen or if sustained or frequent headaches occur.
