Need to see MD: You did not say what pain killer you have been taking, was it Vicodin? Dilaudid? Oxycontin? Also did not say how long you were taking these meds. Common side effect of narcotic meds is constipation which would tend to cause abdomen pain/bloating,etc. Pain in the back near the kidneys needs to be evaluated, exam, lab tests esp urinalysis to be sure not having kidney stone or infection.
