Night time cough: Coughing at night could be due to a number of conditions, including acid reflux, sleep apnea, asthma, and heart problems. A primary care physician would be able to help determine the cause.

Gerd?: Acid backing up from stomach when go to sleep at night can cause cough. Raise the head of the bed before sleeping. Place a strong, solid object (like a board) under the top portion of the mattress. This will help prop up your head and the upper portion of your body, which will help keep stomach acid from backing up into the throat.
