No.: The ANA test is not perfect. It is positive in some people who do not have an autoimmune disease. Also, there are other tests that are important in checking for some autoimmune diseases. Finally, an ANA test (positive or negative) has to be interpreted along with a patient's clinical symptoms under the guidance of a physician.
