Depends: The cure is related to the type of infection and the sensitivity of the organisms. If you are treating a stye, heat is the preferred treatment as antibiotics have little effect. If you are treating blepharitis, then cleaning regimens, heat and sometimes steroid creams can be more efficacious. If the infection is involving the eye also, then you need an ophthalmologist to help.
