A member asked:

I have acne on my face that is infected which is being treated by antibiotics and topical gel, which is the best way to wash the infected area?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Moisturize: Medicated skin care products are notorious for causing red, dry, irritated skin. Washing with the product less often or changing to a milder formula may help. Hypoallergenic noncomedogenic cleansers and moisturizers such as Cetaphil will help recondition your skin but shouldn't cause break outs.
