Need to see a Doctor: Several things come to mind with this description. The most worrysome would be infection, but usually that is not itchy, but painful. Exposure to poison ivy, oak or sumac can certainly do this, as can other types of dermatological issues like numular psoriasis, dishidrotic eczema and Zoster (Shingles). Contact or allergic dermatits after use of neosporin or household cleansers. Insect bites, etc.
