Lactose in Advair: If you already enjoy milk, Advair is unlikely to cause any milk sensitivity but could be a problem if you already have severe milk allergy. Advair Diskus (salmeterol and fluticasone) contains lactose, which is the sugar in milk, to keep the medication particles from sticking. There is a potential for trace amounts of milk protein in the product, hence the caution. It is an excellent medication for asthma maintenance.
