Some kinds, yes: genital herpes is spread by sexual contact. There are many herpes viruses and related viruses that are spread by respiratory (coughing, etc) and produce cold sores and diseases like mononucleosis. So, if some one has coughed on the food, you would have to eat it. If they coughed or breathed on you directly, then you might get it.
