It may be-see below: Joint hypermobility occurs in up to 20 percent of people. Does this affect only your wrists or many joints? If it affects many joints (usually with hyperextension), it can be associated with other medical problems, some of which are quite serious. If multiple joints are involved, you should see your physician for a thorough evaluation.
