Type of thoughts: The racing thoughts in bipolar disorder tend to be disjointed and jump from idea to idea. The thoughts in OCD tend to occur around a specific idea or thought.

Somewhat alike: Both types of thoughts can feel repetitive and intrusive. Both can also result in anxiety. However thematically very different. Obsession's are more unwanted and based in fear while manic thoughts are more grandiose and about other things.
