CBT, meds: First would be to get a good psych evaluation, if that hasn't happened already. Self-diagnosis can be faulty. Effective treatments for OCD include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) & behavioral approaches such as "exposure and response prevention". Medications also help OCD, especially the SSRI antidepressants. The most important thing is that OCD is treatable with help. Take care.
