A member asked:

My newborn constantly eating at night, is this normal?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes: When your baby was in the womb she had a constant supply of nutrients. Now that she is out, it's not there any more! She may want to eat constantly, but probably doesn't need to. Make sure she is actually sucking, and not just holding on to your breast for long periods. Keep her awake enough to get a good feeding. If she is happy with a pacifier or fingers, she probably isn't hungry yet.
