What is hashimotos and how does it relate to hypothyroidism?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Hashimoto's: is an autoimmune disease which affects the thyroid, causing inflammation. Initially in the disease, you will release extra thyroid hormone, being hypothyroid, but then the thyroid cells start to die, causing hypothyroidism. The hypothyroidism can easily be remedied by prescription medicine. Hope this helps!
