Not necessarily: Focal asymmetry could just mean more dense tissue in one breast versus the other. Discuss it with your doctor.

I assume this: was seen on a screening mammo, and additional imaging was recommended? Most of the time asymmetries seen only on one view turn out to be nothing of concern, but the extra views are necessary to be sure.
