Yes: Methylprednisolone or other steroid can cause elevation of blood glucose, with effect lasting up to one week after the last dose. If you have persistent hyperglycemia, with fasting blood glucose greater than 100 mg/dL, or 2 hour postprandial blood glucose greater than 140 mg/dL, he may need to consult your physician to adjust your diabetic medication.
