No: Hard and tight are terms used to describe either Braxton Hicks type contractions or real preterm labor. I would suggest you see your doctor right away or even better, go to Labor & Delivery to be checked out. They can see if you're contracting on the tocometer as well as perform a vaginal exam to see if your cervix is opening. Good luck! Hopefully just Braxton Hicks.
