Possibly infected: After any surgical procedure, ranging from wart removal to major surgery, there is always a risk of infection. If there is swelling, warmth, redness, or pus-like discharge, any or all of these can be signs of an infection. The first point of contact for wound infections should be either your primary care doctor or the doctor who performed the procedure.
