Diet change: Constipation is usually the result of what you eat. Do you eat enough fiber? It has also been suggested that probiotics may help. To get rid of the stool that is already there, Miralax (polyethylene glycol) is the best way, you may have to use more than what you used before to have results. Clean out helpful: It may be helpful to do a "Miralax (polyethylene glycol) cleanout" which is similar to a bowel prep prior to a colonoscopy or other procedure. This would require being close to a toilet for 2-3 days while you drink and eat clear fluids/semi-solids until your colon is completely empty. After the cleanout it will be important to stay on once or twice daily Miralax (polyethylene glycol) and stay well hydrated, Check with your doctor first.
