Bowel clensing: I often use MiraLAX (polyethylene glycol) 238 grams in 64 oz gatorade as a colonoscopy prep. This is used only for 1 day. I would not use this for 7-10 days as this could cause electrolyte disturbances. Metamucil can be used on a daily bases but make sure you maintain adequate hydration.
