Dr. Alvin Lin answered

Talk w/your doc: When reviewing your test results, check out the normal reference range. Abnormal results are usually highlighted, boldfaced or placed in "abnormal" column. Creatinine is what we measure in your blood to check kidney function but true measure of kidney function depends upon age, gender, weight & ethnicity which is used to calculate eGFR (estimated glomerular filtration rate). So go chat w/your doc.
