Yes: You can trust the tests. No test is perfect so there is always a small chance of error. Most HIV testing is pretty reliable. The bigger question is why take a chance. Use condoms.

I would test again: 6 moths is the usual "outer limit" I would 1. test again in a month and 2. NEVER have unprotected sex again without a RELATIONSHIP.. Sorry I'm "old fashioned" but I'm also in my seventies! Hope this helps Dr Z
