Allergy?: The symptoms between allergic pharyngitis from mucous production and infectious pharyngitis can be very similar. Try a steroid nasal spray (you can get fluticasone over the counter now) and an antihistamine. If your symptoms don't improve, see your ENT again, as there are other causes that may need testing.
