My husbands throat had been tighting up mostly at night. why? is it allergies? what should he take? some times it gets really bad. too tight sometimes

See doc soon.: Try Benadryl (diphenhydramine) or another OTC antihistamine. Also, please take him to see his doctor for an exam and evaluation. is it swollen? Can he swallow and breathe well? This needs to be evaluated ASAP. Perhaps he should have an Epi-Pen at bedside just in case.
