Heartburn palpitates: Indigestion may affect the vagus nerve. This nerve regulates acid production and heart rate. It is possible when stimulated by heartburn, you could get palpitations or even slowing of the heart, the usual effect. It is generally not serious. Either problem should be evaluated if it causes more than minor symptoms.

Yes.: There is a relationship between the heart and the esophagus so the flutter could be heart. Just check you pulse to see if they match. Also people can get fluttering of the muscles between the ribs. Otherwise indigestion is the more likely at your age.
