Septal thickness: Normal septal thickness for males, is less than 1.2 cm, for the average male, in average shape. Moderate thickness is designated as over 1.5 cm, while severe varies between 1.8 to 2cm. The most dangerous heart rhythms are found with thicknesses > 3 cm. Discuss with a cardiologist, if there is any concern.
