A member asked:

Is there a condition when the right side of ur heart is larger than the left assuming the heart is normal in thickness and there is abnormal septal m?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Not normal: It happens but it's not normal. A pressure or volume overload state in the pulmonary circuit or in the right heart structures can produce enlargement of the right ventricle, elevated pulmonary artery pressure, and abnormal septal motion. There is also an idiopathic condition that can do this. If your right heart is truly enlarged, you need a full cardio-pulmonary evaluation.
