Usually minor: The common side-effects of dramamine (dimenhydrinate) are the three ds: dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth. There are many other side-effects listed including severe allergic reactions and even death but i believe the three ds are the most common s/e. Look up the drug and precautions on drugs.Com.

Purpose for 30 days?: Dramamine is an antihistamine that reduces the effects of natural chemical histamine in the body. It is used to treat or prevent nausea, vomiting, and dizziness associated with motion sickness. Typically it is taken before/during travel for a short amount of time. Not sure why someone would take it for an extended period of time, but side effects can include Seizures, tremors and confusion.
