Here are some ...: At times, some lingering ache & pain along the incision of inguinal hernia repair down to scrotum may occur and require additional care; clinically, it may represent so-called nerve entrapment syndrome or neuroma. Fortunately, such pain may slowly resolve to tolerable level over time for most cases; occasionally, it may be intractable & require nerve block and exploration... So, see Doc timely ...

It is normal to have some pain for quite a while.: If the pain is not gradually improving over time then you may have an issue with a repair that is too tight. If the surgery has only been a few months then you just need to give it time. I had the surgery and tenor 12 months later I still occasionally had a twinge.
