How do we know if i ovulated ?????

Best practice: The best predictor of when ovulation occurs is a spike in basal body temperature. Women who are attempting to track their ovulation often take their temperature first thing in the morning at the same time every day for a few cycles. Another reliable way, of course, are ovulation predictor kits that you can buy at the drugstore. Good luck!

Test: An ovulation predictor test can be used or a blood test of your progesterone level can be done in the 2nd half of your cycle. The old fashioned way is to see that you are pregnant. The tests are both very reliable. The absence of pregnancy however does not mean that you didn't ovulate.

Basal temp rises: If you have been taking your basal body temperature, there is typically a rise of 1/2 degree with Progesterone production, which occurs after ovulation. Also, if you notice lots of good cervical mucus (like egg white), that is a sign that your are nearing ovulation. When it suddenly goes away, that is probably a sign that you are in the second half (progesterone-producing) part of the cycle.

Several ways to tell: Ovulatory cycles are typically regular, predictable, and consistent in flow characteristics, but there are several methods for testing whether ovulation is occurring or has occurred, including basal body temperature recording, blood Progesterone measurements, ovulation predictor kits, and a series of ultrasound examinations. The best test to use varies with the individual woman and her treatment.
